We are pleased to inform you that Mikołaj Topola, MSc Eng., a PhD student from our department, participated in a two-week short-term exchange at the University of Leeds, which took place from March 29 to April 12, 2025. During his stay, Mikołaj conducted tribological research on the properties of light alloys, which are crucial for his doctoral project.

As part of the Advanced Manufacturing 2 course, students of the Smart Manufacturing program had the unique opportunity to visit Wifama, a leader in modern manufacturing technologies.

On April 9, 2025, employees from the Department of Materials Technology and Production Systems had the honor of visiting Federal-Mogul Gorzyce Sp. z o.o. The purpose of the visit was to discuss collaboration on the development of an advanced quality control system for the production of pistons for internal combustion vehicles.

From April 2-4, 2025, the picturesque Klimczok Hotel in Szczyrk hosted the 8th International Conference titled "Technologies and Products for Foundry in the Offer of FERRO - TERM Sp. z o.o." This event brought together foundry industry specialists from around the world, who had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences on the latest technologies and products.
