Training trip to INSA Toulouse as part of Erasmus+

Lodz University of Technology was represented by Prof. Cezary Rapiejko, who developed his professional competencies in the field of modern teaching methods and the organization of work at a technical university. The main goal of the visit was to develop an international educational micromodule in the ECIU format, combining the teaching and research potential of partner universities.

During the stay, participants took part in numerous sessions and panels devoted to contemporary engineering education — in particular intelligent manufacturing, multi‑agent systems, and the use of data analysis and artificial intelligence in industry. An important part of the exchange of experiences was also the design of micro‑experiences and their integration into second‑cycle study programmes. The event brought together representatives of universities from France, Italy, Sweden, and Poland.

At the same time, Lodz University of Technology was also represented at INSA Toulouse by: Prof. Dorota Piotrowska – Director of the International Faculty of Engineering (IFE), Prof. Jacek Sawicki – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Dr Robert Blażlak – Faculty of Organization and Management, and Agnieszka Roganowicz – IFE.

The implementation of this academic mobility will enable Lodz University of Technology to adopt proven, innovative solutions used at renowned European universities. Particularly valuable are the experiences related to the development of micromodules and micro‑credentials functioning in an international environment. Introducing these solutions will contribute to improving the quality of education, increasing the flexibility of study programmes, and strengthening their international dimension — making the educational offer of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the entire university even more attractive and competitive.
