On April 9, 2025, employees from the Department of Materials Technology and Production Systems had the honor of visiting Federal-Mogul Gorzyce Sp. z o.o. The purpose of the visit was to discuss collaboration on the development of an advanced quality control system for the production of pistons for internal combustion vehicles.

From April 2-4, 2025, the picturesque Klimczok Hotel in Szczyrk hosted the 8th International Conference titled "Technologies and Products for Foundry in the Offer of FERRO - TERM Sp. z o.o." This event brought together foundry industry specialists from around the world, who had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences on the latest technologies and products.

The Department of Materials Technology and Production Systems of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Lodz University of Technology and the Foundry Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Katowice Branch, have the honor to invite you to the 21st Scientific Conference "Optimization of Production Systems in Foundries" on June 9-11, 2025, in Łódź.

On November 13th, during a ceremonial session of the Senate of Lodz University of Technology, awards and medals were presented to distinguished employees, as well as prizes to outstanding students and graduates of the university. We are pleased to announce that, during this event, our colleague, Tomasz Szymczak, was awarded the Silver Medal for Long Service. Congratulations!

On October 29, 2024, Prof. Bogusław Pisarek participated in an event organized by International Additive Manufacturing Group, a leading Polish manufacturer of metal 3D printers specializing in Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) technology.

From October 9-11, 2024, representatives from our Department, Prof. Cezary Rapiejko and Prof. Bogusław Pisarek, participated in the "International MAGMA User Meeting 2024," held in Frankfurt am Main.

The 64th International Scientific Conference "Solidification and Crystallization of Metals 2024" was held from September 18th to 20th, 2024, in Gliwice, at the Malinowski Business Hotel***.

On September 24, 2024, representatives from our Department participated in the Meeting of the Foundry Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Katowice Branch.
