From April 2-4, 2025, the picturesque Klimczok Hotel in Szczyrk hosted the 8th International Conference titled "Technologies and Products for Foundry in the Offer of FERRO - TERM Sp. z o.o." This event brought together foundry industry specialists from around the world, who had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences on the latest technologies and products.
One of the speakers was Prof. Grzegorz Gumienny, who delivered a lecture on "Types of Cast Iron with Special Properties". His presentation attracted significant interest from the conference participants, who actively engaged in discussions about innovative solutions in the field of foundry.
The conference began with the arrival and registration of participants, followed by a welcome dinner at the Highlander pub. The following days were filled with lecture sessions, during which many interesting presentations were given, including on quartz materials free of respirable silica, exothermic sleeves, and innovative linings for casting ladles.
During the conference, participants also had the opportunity to take part in a technical trip to a production plant and a barbecue dinner, which fostered integration and the establishment of new professional contacts.
We sincerely congratulate Prof. Grzegorz Gumienny for his contribution to the development of science and the foundry industry. His presentation at the conference in Szczyrk will undoubtedly contribute to the further development of innovative technologies in this field.
