On December 13th, the National Foundry Day took place in Krakow – the most important event in the foundry industry in Poland, which has also become a significant event on the international stage in recent years.
The importance of this event is evidenced not only by statistics but also by the fact that it is organized under the Patronage of the World Foundry Organization, with the well-known global foundry portal Foundry Planet as the Media Patron.
This year's event was attended by over 230 participants from both Poland and abroad. The program included an exhibition of products and services, as well as a scientific and technical conference titled "We Matter in Foundry." During the conference, the latest solutions and opportunities for the foundry industry in the fields of technology, materials, environmental protection, digitization, robotics, and education were presented.
The Department of Materials Technology and Production Systems was represented by Prof. Grzegorz Gumienny, who actively participated in discussions and presentations. Following the conference, an open discussion forum and a gala dinner took place, providing an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and establish new contacts.
