On October 29, 2024, Prof. Bogusław Pisarek participated in an event organized by International Additive Manufacturing Group, a leading Polish manufacturer of metal 3D printers specializing in Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB) technology.
The event, titled "Additive Manufacturing: Opportunities and Limitations for Academia," took place at the headquarters of International Additive Manufacturing Group in Pruszków. The purpose of the meeting was to facilitate discussions on collaboration between academic institutions and industry, with a particular focus on additive manufacturing (3D printing). The event’s guests included representatives from the additive manufacturing sector and scientists from various research institutions (such as the Institute of Photonic Technologies, Erlangen, Germany; Białystok University of Technology; Amazement, Poland; Sygnis, Poland; Omni3D, Poland; NPA Skawina Sp. z o.o.; Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw; Insstek, South Korea). It was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and suggestions on mutual expectations and ways to improve the effectiveness of collaboration. During the event, participants also had the chance to tour the company.
