We are pleased to announce that our student research group is entering a new stage of its activity. As of November 19, 2025, the current name Student Research Group of Foundry and Plastics Processing (SKN Odlewnictwa i Przetwórstwa Tworzyw Sztucznych) will be officially changed to Student Research Group of Production Engineering and Technology Castformers (Studenckie Koło Naukowe Inżynierii Produkcji i Technologii Castformers).
A change of name is always a symbolic moment, marking a new chapter in the group’s development. This decision is the result of many discussions and reflections on the direction chosen by our academic community.
The new name is intended to better reflect the research profile and the nature of the initiatives undertaken. In recent years, the group has been actively involved in scientific projects, the organization of conferences and workshops, as well as activities promoting knowledge among students and the wider public. The change of name is therefore not only a formal step, but also an expression of openness to new challenges, interdepartmental cooperation, and international contacts.
Although the name is changing, the values that have formed the foundation of our activity from the beginning remain unchanged. Passion for science, the desire to share knowledge, innovation, and collaboration among students and academic staff will continue to guide our work. We hope that the new name will serve as an inspiration for further initiatives and projects that will strengthen the group’s position within the academic environment.
In the near future, we plan to present detailed information about new undertakings that will inaugurate the group’s activity under its new name. We warmly invite all interested students and staff to actively participate in our projects. We believe that together we can create a space conducive to scientific development, the exchange of experiences, and the building of lasting academic bonds.
For us, the change of name marks the beginning of a new chapter. We are convinced that SKN Castformers will become a symbol of energy, commitment, and openness that have accompanied our activity for many years.
