From 7 to 9 October 2026, staff members of the Department participated in the International MAGMA User Meeting 2026, held in Salzburg, Austria. The event brought together MAGMASOFT® users and foundry professionals from numerous countries, providing a platform for exchanging experiences, presenting research results, and discussing the latest trends in foundry process simulation.
The conference program featured a wide range of presentations focused on modern approaches to foundry process design, production optimization, and the application of digital tools in industry. Participation in the meeting provided an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest developments introduced by MAGMA and to exchange knowledge and experience with representatives of both industry and research institutions from around the world.
The stay in Salzburg also offered an opportunity to explore one of Europe's most renowned cultural destinations and the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The city's historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with the impressive Hohensalzburg Fortress overlooking the city, provided a remarkable setting for the event and fostered valuable scientific and professional networking opportunities.
Participation in the conference contributed to expanding knowledge of advanced foundry process simulation techniques and provided numerous inspirations that will be applied in the Department's research, educational, and development activities in the future.
